Qphone® is a packet switched telephone system which
works with the existing circuit-switched public
phone network, as well as IP Wide Area Networks,
including the Internet. It is a high-value, software-driven
alternative to conventional telephone systems
and works by piggybacking on an organization’s
existing IP data network.
The Qphone mission is to re-invent business telephony
as a network service, along the lines of email
or instant messaging. The value proposition is
basic: a better phone system for a smaller investment
and much lower cost of ownership
A Qphone® system is comprised of IP telephones
and a Linux-based media server which includes PSTN gateway, voicemail, and incoming call processor.
The Qphone media server is available for purchase, or as a month-to-month service hosted in a modern data center.
